Omega’s most powerful diving replica watches
In 2011, the second-generation Seamaster Planet Ocean diver’s watch was officially launched. Significant upgrades included a ceramic bezel, the use of Liquidmetal, and the adoption of Omega’s in-house 85 and 93 movements across the entire series. The addition of a silicon hairspring further enhanced the watch’s anti-magnetic properties. The third-generation Seamaster Planet Ocean, launched in 2016, further elevated the series’ accuracy, anti-magnetic properties, and overall performance to even higher standards in Swiss watchmaking after being equipped with the Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement.
Although the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M diver’s watch has gone through three generations, each bringing numerous new upgrades, its overall design has remained largely unchanged over the years. Whether it’s the initial model in 2005 or the latest third-generation Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M, the design inspiration is almost identical to that of the Seamaster 300M diver’s watch. Adjustments have only been made to some details that enhance the watch’s durability or give it a more modern look. However, to commemorate its 20th anniversary, replica Omega decided to give the fourth-generation Planet Ocean a fresh new look, imbuing its flagship diver’s replica watch series with a unique personality, completely differentiating it from the Seamaster 300M. Thus, sharp angles, a masculine and robust design, and a more technologically advanced feel became the defining characteristics of the fourth-generation Planet Ocean 600M.
In terms of appearance, the most pleasing aspect of the new Planet Ocean is its return to the conventional 42mm case diameter for a diver’s watch, and the elimination of the controversial helium escape valve. At only 13.8mm thick, it’s a reduction of 2.3mm compared to the previous model’s 43.5mm diameter and 16.1mm thickness. Secondly, the integration of the new angular case and bracelet is more seamless. The first bracelet link is shorter and features a hinged design, along with a six-position adjustable folding clasp. Therefore, the new Planet Ocean is not only more comfortable to wear but also feels more like a unified luxury sports watch. Currently, all seven watches in the initial release are crafted from stainless steel and feature a solid titanium screw-down case back, boasting sharp lines and distinct angles. Furthermore, the bezel has been redesigned with a more prominent serrated profile, and the ceramic insert on the unidirectional rotating bezel is larger, marking a breakthrough in the series’ 20-year heritage. It is available in black, blue, and orange.
Compared to the redesigned case, the dial represents an evolution. All models, regardless of bezel color, feature a highly legible and high-contrast matte black dial. Replica Omega signature broad arrow-shaped hands and trapezoidal applied luminous hour markers are slightly larger. As for the movement, the new Planet Ocean is still equipped with the familiar 8912 Co-Axial Master Chronometer automatic movement. As the non-date version of the 8900, it naturally possesses the same powerful performance. I don’t think I need to elaborate on its performance parameters. What I want to say is that, compared to Rolex’s 32 series movement, I personally prefer the 89 series movement. On the one hand, I prefer the pin-operated rotor, although this structure may increase wear, its advantages are high efficiency and quiet operation. On the other hand, this movement also has a quick-set time zone function that I find extremely useful. This means that when you’re diving around the world, the watch won’t stop when you adjust it locally. My only hope for the new Planet Ocean is that replica Omega will release a Grade 5 titanium version as soon as possible, because the steel one is just too heavy.
